bereavement

Losing someone you love is one of the most traumatic events you’ll ever experience and it’s something you’re almost certain to go through at some point in any long life. When it happens, you’ll respond to your loss in your own way. There is no right or wrong way to grieve — but there are ways to make your recovery from grief more complete.

In the following pages we’ll discuss the range of emotions you will go through as you come to terms with your loss,  with suggestions on how to cope at this dreadful time.

It’s important to remember that you are not alone and there are many people sharing a similar, albeit very personal, despair.

If at any stage you feel you can’t cope, it’s important you seek help, either from friends or family, people in a similar situation or dedicated bereavement counsellors. Click here for details of our own counsellor.
