Very occasionally a “Single With Kids” needs a break without!  As much as you love the kids, there's no better way to relax than a weekend at CenterParcs, with adult company and entertainment galore on your doorstep?

From sports and leisure facilities, health and beauty treatments, restaurants, cinema, cafes, bars… you’re spoilt for choice for things to do and you’re surrounded by the fantastic scenery of the Lake District to boot.

The location is CenterParcs Whinfell Forest in Penrith, in the northern Lake District. The CenterParcs complex covers acres of deep forest, with accommodation in comfortable lodges of up to 6 people per (well equipped) lodge. Sports facilities such as tennis, squash, badminton, windsurfing, aerobics etc are all available on site for a small charge; the extensive indoor “Subtropical Swimming Paradise” is free and includes lagoon pools, whirlpool baths, water curtains, spa pool, and the Canyon Ride – the largest outdoor falling rapid ride in the UK.  Keswick and Lake Ullswater are nearby should anyone wish to sightsee; otherwise there is more than enough to entertain everyone on site for the trip.

Arrival is from anytime after 3pm on Friday and we have the villas until Monday at 10am, though in practice many of us will probably leave at our own leisure on Sunday evening. Although the villa has to be vacated by 10am, you are welcome to stay on site and enjoy the facilities until early afternoon.

On Friday evening we’ll have a get-together in one of the villas, Saturday evening there is a disco open to all (with a fancy dress theme).  Spice are holding one of their quarterly events at CenterParcs on this weekend, for anyone considering joining Spice this will give you a preview of Spice at its craziest!

There are 4 twin beds and 1 double bed per villa – as well as the extra bed space the double room also has a flat screen TV and is on offer at a slight supplement. Unless you have specific preferences, we will match adults of the same sex per room. Each villa includes a double bedroom and single occupancy of this is available at a supplement.

Spaces are limited on this trip to 30 places ONLY and we’ve already had a lot of interest, so if you want to be on this fun-filled trip, please book early to avoid disappointment!
