When I say I have nothing to wear for this, I literally have nothing to wear. No contenders, nothing vaguely smart that fits.

Mine is slate grey, knee length, floaty with a chiffon overlay - fiver in a charity shop :-)  Bargain....

Yay!  I've found a dress !  Second shop I went into, second dress I tried on....and my style guru (9 year old daughter) actually approves too  :)

I'm getting quite excited about "scrubbing up" now, it's a nice change from my normal wellies-and-fleece routine  :)

It's a jade green colour and strapless (accompanied by a lot of hope and not so much bopping about !). It needs a necklace of some kind but I'll complete that search without the kids in tow,  not a good shopping experience!

Phew frock sorted thanks to a very good mate that has leant it to me ... actually got the choice of 2 so taking them both and see what i feel like saturday night.

Just went to try one the nice gold empire line I wore to a black tie wedding when I was 6 months pregnant, strangely it was too big, and when I was putting it back I found a black with asemetrical grey panel full length gown that I completly forgot I owned! Fits like a dream!
Is it too posh though? Ahh, what do I care if it is, it was a TKMaxx bargin, with extra discount because of a missing strap and I've only worn it once!
I'm a bit excited  :)

Slighty concerned that mine is too "posh" too as full length but dont care as how often do we get even the slightest excuse to wear them!! So just gonna glam it to the max and have fun!!!  ;D

Mine's long too and I'm not sure whether to glam it up or down....decisions, decisions ! I suspect I'll bring a couple of options with me and try and get a sneak preview of whatever everyone else is wearing first.

It's the first time in ages I've worn a dress, I can't wait  :)

Im coming!

Sorry Infinity couldn't make it - am taking her place.

I'll probably keep you company rockababe and wear trousers.  I ordered some purple velvet flares I couldn't resist (I'm afraid I'm a bit of a hippy) and if they come and if they fit I shall be a kind of 60's / 70's babe.  Alternatively I do have a nice long shimmery number if it still fits me.

Can't wait to have a night away and meet you all!

Tried a lovely green dress on that I own tonight and couldn't do the zip up  :-[ how incredibly depressing. So will just have to be a boring little black number, thinking pink tights and accessories with it though to make it more interesting!!

I'm looking forward to the jacuzzi and the lie in!!
