was looking at the possibility of taking my little boy to the sunshine for Christmas but a bit anxious what to expect. can anyone give me some tips and/or reassurances please?

It all depends on your budget. I know that in Egypt is relatively inexpensive rest, sun and heat for the new year. If you have enough money, it is better to visit italy. We flew there last year, in February, my dad bought us tickets for the first class https://www.iflyfirstclass.com/country/to-italy and booked an expensive hotel. It was a very interesting and pleasant impression. I believe that Italy is more expensive than in Egypt. My friend flew to Tunisia, brought a lot of beautiful photos and impressions. Perhaps we should consider Asia as an option? But as far as I know, it's very long to fly to them.
