I'm a bit late posting on this but Josh and I will join you for this tomorrow. Delamere Forest is lovely and I've been meaning to have a walk there for a while now but never got there. See you all in the morning  :)

It looks like it's going to be picturesque if nothing else, we've had a fair covering of snow here in Stockport. I suspect it won't be quite as white in Delamere but it's worth going prepared for the worst just in case.

I'm looking forward to a day out in the fresh air tomorrow, my kids have been driving me potty today so a bit of wintry revenge is just what's needed. ;)

See everyone tomorrow!

Hello, I'm afraid we won't be coming tomorrow  :(
It has been snowing/sleeting here all day, but not the nice fluffy stuff, it is all frozen and sheet ice with the freezing rain. We have icicles everywhere!! I don't mind a bit of cold but if it's anything like today I'm sorry but I can't walk round a forest! Sounded a great day out and I'm dissapointed to missing it, the girls were excited. Hope you all have fun x

We've just arrived at Delamere, the roads have been clear all the way down although there was some fog at some stage. There's very little snow here unfortunately but the sun's trying to break through so it should be a clear day. It's 3 degrees so chilly but not icy.

I'm just going to find my way to the visitor centre and suss out a good walk.

Finally home, thanks everyone for the fab company. There were over 30 of us in the end, not a bad turnout for a winter's day, quite an achievement that 23 of you didn't fall over on your backsides (mine is rather bruised!). Thanks to the Cheshire mob for the impromptu picnic, and Sharon & Eileen for the great choice of pub.

A number of us are keen for this to become a regular event, I'll start a new thread on this shortly.

Chrissy and All who was there,
Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon.
This was our first meeting and it was a success- Apart from falling on the ice rink,I have really hurt my shoulder, hip and neck and how I am feeling at the mo will not be in work in the morning. So our first mtg
will be one we remember,Even Heidi fell over but that isn`t unusual !!

Yes thank you for the nibbles and hot chocolate,It was very kind and thoughtful.
We feel confident to join other outings/Trips and looking forward to Wales at Easter
and eagerley checking Ebay for a tent.
Heidi asked me to say thank you to the little boy who let her use his sledge due to her knee hurting
from her fall.
Thanks Again Your A Very Friendly Bunch Who made us feel welcome,
See You Soon Hopefully
Catherine and Heidi x

Thanks all for a lovely day yesterday!

Thankfully, the injuries from my own fall weren't long lasting.  I'm still feeling a bit guilty for pulling my youngest down with me though!!

The hot chocolate half way was a life saver - thanks.

Look forward to seeing you all soon.
