Its BBQ time

Its time to dust of the BBQ's and get some fresh air.

Its been very popular and by demand its that time again ....BBQ at Beacon Park Loughborough.

This is about 10 mins off j23 of the M1 ....so a really good central meet for everyone.

We will be meeting in the LOWER carpark post code is LE12 8TA for those with sat nav. You'll need £2.50 to get into the carpark ... the machine doesnt give change.

Meet at 11am ....the BBQ and picnic area is just behind this carpark.

Wrap up warm (or if we're luckey it might just be a lovely warm spring day) bring a flask with coffee etc and food for the BBQ's and we will be in for a nice day.

We can make a plan of whos bringing what foodwise (or well end up with enough to feed the 5000 as usual)

...and of course we will be needing some disposable BBQ's ..... or proper ones if we cant get disposables in March $:-\$

Looking forward to catching up soon ....if your new...dont be scared....this is a great opportunity to come and meet some of the local SWK'rs before one of those fabulous holidays youve booked

Nope, one is at the bottom of the hill and the other at the top of the hill....

Small dig here as once I parked in completely the wrong car park and had to walk over said hill

As you've got to pay to park I thought there was no point moving

Now get confused as to does the car park look familiar cos its the right one or is it because its the wrong one I parked in! lol

I'm hoping to be there but will be getting the train to Loughborough. Can anyone tell me the best way to get to Beacon Park from the train station - is there a bus???

Looks like there is no bus at that time on a sunday but according to google maps its only a 15 min taxi ride so might just do that

Tracey, how many kids will you have with you - if it's no more than 2 plus you I'd be happy to pick you up - from either Loughborough or Nottingham. Only saying max of 2 cos of how many I can fit in my car!!

Yes, I'm here.

No, there isn't a bus but I'm sure we can sort out lifts, if people need them, from the train station or from the middle of town (bus).

In fact, it could makes sense for some people to meet up somewhere close beforehand, and then share a lift to the park. This would reduce the total amount we spent on car park charges, and could ensure that everyone went to the correct car park *
