Winter walk - Hartshill Hayes Park Nuneaton 4th February 2012
« on: January 02, 2012, 08:11:17 PM »
Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody else was craving some fresh air and fancied a walk/play/kite flying etc around Hartshill Hayes park. There is a fabulous playground for the children, a wood with lots of walks, a huge country park with lots of space. If we wrap up warm should be good!! We could even bring a picnic if anyone is brave enough - not sure if cafe is open??
I was thinking a meet up time of 11am, let me know if you are interested and I can text my mobile number.
Looking forward to meeting you all
Sharon  ;D ;D :P :P :D :D

Oooh, absolutely!!  It's not often a local one comes up.  We can make any time of day, so count us in whatever the plan!  Picnic sounds good.

Yes that sounds great.  My daughter is 9 and we would love to come, I think its only half hour drive to Nuneaton.  Let me know the details.  We had a picnic Bank Hol Tues and a walk around a lake and it was great!  Will be lovely to meet up with some other single parents.

11am is fine for me.  I think we've met before Sharon, at one of the loughborough winter BBQs?

Just so you're all aware, I have a small dog who will be with me.  And a small child of course!   ;D

Hi Lulubird,

Not been to any of the BBQ's so its not me lol. I don't think I've met you before, where do you live?? I'm in Coventry.

I've got a dog which I will probably leave at home, he's a bit nutty and jumpy and I'll have the problem of not being able to go in the children's playground if I have him with me!
I have no problem with you bringing your dog though.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Sharon

I am in Rugby, so not far at all!  How old is/are your child(ren)?  I have an 8.5 year old boy.

Looking forward to it, it'll be really nice to do something local.

I'm a maybe! It's not too far away for us but clashes with son's swimming lessons and he'll be missing the following 2 lessons as we'll be away.

I'll see how we feel nearer the time!

Yes me, I am at a loose end! I'll let you know for definite later in the week. I thought it was further away, but I just googled and it's an hour, so may be possible. Depends on finances re petrol!

Although I'd love to come, I can't afford the petrol - I've just had to pay out another £80 for E's nursery fees, so I'm going to have to play out closer to home :(

Hope your dad is feeling better Bev  :)

It was nice even though only myself and daughter and Lulubird and son turned up - we had fun although very very cold.

I will be arranging something else soon - need to get my thinking cap on

Sounds like a good time was had - sometimes the smaller meets are good as you get to have a proper catch up.

Hope to see you all soon (probably on camping trips) or at the bbq if you can make it?
