Camping FAQ
« on: April 19, 2009, 07:30:11 PM »
Would a camping FAQ be a useful idea?

Could include a Tent Top 5,  Top 10 Essentials etc?

It could then be stored and displayed as a sticky on any of the camping trip sections.

Hi Sarah,
A good idea, although rather than have one post as a sticky (people don't always read and go off and create their own posts regardless), I think it might be a good idea for us to create a general Camping section and move all posts with tent and camping questions in there. I'll look into it this week.

I've just created a new board in the Club Trips section "Camping: All You Need to Know" and I've moved some recent posts in there alongside a couple of useful threads from last year's trips. Hope this helps!

Nice one Silky!

If camping virgins can be pointed at this section that would be great - maybe we could still have a Top Tips to Tenting sticky tho?  Otherwise it becomes to onerous to wade thru multiple posts.

I just think there's been so much fantastic advice,  hints,  tips and bargains appearing in the middle of threads it would be a shame to lose that knowledge,  not to mention re-inventing the wheel!
