Just been to my first exercise class (as part of my new years resolutions) since erm.........well I wouldn't like to say  and I am so unfit!  Shocked
Everyone was there in their tight Lycra knowing exactly what was going on and I just kept falling over my own feet! Bright red face & breathing heavy, I was a lovely sight, NOT! Why do they have to have mirrors all around the room!

Oh well suppose it can only get better!!

I'm equally unfit Sue, which is one reason why I'd be too scared to go to an exercise class.

I'm also trying to make an effort so went swimming the other day. I had old ladies racing past me and I was as red as a beetroot when I'd finished.  Embarrassed

I'm sure if we keep with it, it will definitely get better.

Keep up the good work. Smiley

This was the main reason I turned my cellar into a mini gym a few years ago... along with wine cellar!  I was great having a glass of wine while on my exercise bikem however, I did tend to spill it when on the rowing machine!!!!  The novelty of the gym soon wore off and kept getting fed up of going down into cellar for a bottle of wine!  Now I only go down into cellar to top of gas/electric meters!!! Keep on saying that I WILL get back into a routine of using the 'gym' but....

KLH - I hid at the back of the class & hoped no one would take any notice, some of them were really going for it and didn't even break into a sweat!!

Like you say if we keep it up we can only get better!  Smiley

Andrea I have an cross trainer in the house (ex bought it for my birthday while we were still together, think he was trying to tell me something!!), I also have a Wii fit but don't use either of them!

Wonder if I can manage a wine while on the cross trainer, suppose I could put it in a sports bottle....

Hi Jane,

sounds good & no I wont be wearing Lycra either, it is so unforgiving, tracksuit bottoms & a baggy t shirt for me!!

Pilate's sounds good, i have tried a class once but never felt like I was doing it right! I need to dust off my Wii fit & personal trainer DVD! Wanted to tone up a bit for the Spa weekend, but after two meals out this week think I just need to buy one of the old fashioned costumes that hides everything! Or failing that just head for the bar! Have decided today to join the local gym!!  So not looking forward to the induction on monday, got half way through Davina McCall dvd the other day and thought I was going to collapse - not sure what I will look like in the gym, just hoping the instructor isnt a hunk as ill be red faced before I even lift a weight Wink

Suppose we have to start somewhere, hopefully in 5 months time we'll be "lean mean - not afraid to hit the beach clad in a bikini - machine". Smiley
