You might find it easier to try some of the local meets. If Orpington is accessible to central London (I think it is?) there are various meets particularly museums and parks in central london.

Hi Anita,
Welcome to the site.
I have two children Jack aged 14 and Daisy aged 7 and we went on our first SWK hol at xmas. Up until the day before I was thinking shall I go or shall I cop out. Luckily I went as we had the most fantastic time, we are going again to the Easter holiday in the wood - can't wait.
So go for it- I know you won't regret it.

Hi Twinkleshines, Absolutely! Feel the fear, but do it! I jumped straight in at the deep end last summer and went straight onto a camping trip for the first time. I didn't regret it for ONE second. The moment I got all my gear out of the car, people were coming over and helping out, it was dead nice. Everone was very friendly and chatty and me and my two monkeys had a FAB time and we've made some new friends too! X |

Hi Jo I am in Orpington too with my 2.5 yrd old son and joined a couple of months ago have booked the farm trip and the cornwall trip in August! def give it a go we are all in the same boat I guess! we should arrange a meet up at some point! Take care Abi x |
