Hello Andrea

Welcome

There are some from here out your way and you're not too far from the great metropolis for the odd day trip either

btw: do you have a tent?  :)

Welcome Andrea. I too have recently joined (45, father of one 4 year old) and have a tent somewhere! I am in Essex though.

By the way how do you PM others on these boards? Is it after a set number of posts?

I have no tent, haven't been camping since I was a child!

you have approx 9 days or 9 months to remedy that depending on the time-cycles that work best for you :)

Camping ... is there a better way to get in touch with your inner child?

:)

"inner child"   - gluing, sticking, works for me better lol  (coloured pencils, and felt tip pens have even been known to do the trick too.... ;D

I digress.... welcome Andrea,  Hello.

don't - we just finished the egyptian project which apparently involves "making things at home" - got a big downer on anything craft-y just now ... and an even bigger downer on a teaching policy which seems to think it's ok to frig around all day and get the parent(s) to do the real work at home.

This rant may (or may not) be continued (and expanded on) in its own thread later.

I may need reminding - but then again ... I'm told we've just started our next project, subject:weather - if we get any more goddamn silly homework I might just be cooking up a real live storm in a junior school not a million miles from here.

Tee hee - one of my favorite rants - she watches Ice Age DVDs, does Salsa and has theatre companies to visit during the school day.  We do spelling, maths and english sheets at home - go figure  ::)

And hi and welcome Andrea - get involved!
