New member saying hello
« on: July 27, 2012, 10:15:58 PM »
Hello all.

I am a new forum user aged 45 with a 4 year old daughter who I see at least twice a week.  I moved down to Essex to be near my daughter but am a bit stuck out on a limb because at present I have no friends or family round here so you can guess why I have joined! Interested in meet ups and events .

Hello, youngsters!

:)

You'll find, 'oldie', that there are some older parents on the forum, and some men as well.  We're in the minority, but so what.

Welcome

Peter

Nothing wrong with being in your 40's!  40 (ish) is the new 30's - but I still feel like a 28 year old!
Trouble is, the 28 year olds don't feel like being with me  ;)

I used to love a song by New Order called Temptation (I know Heaven 17 did a song called that too and I don't mean that one).  Brings back lots of memories of my teens.
It doesn't matter where you go in life, what you do or how much you have; it's who you have beside you...

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome. Not sure about meets/weekends outside the area due to the fact I cannot drive!

Aye, absolute class from my all time favourite group. Especially the 7" version which had a poppier feel.
