« on: April 09, 2009, 11:47:15 AM »
Wondered if anyone was in Bristol? Would really like to meet/chat to some other single parents with kids. I have alot of friends without kids, but it would be nice to meet some people who understand our situation a bit more.. I have a 5 year old daughter and we live in North Bristol x

Sounds great :D I am also off on hols - going to Paignton from Monday-Friday on one of the Sun holiday deals. Recovering from an operation so hoping the sea air will do me some good! Where abouts in Bristol are you? We live in Horfield.

Hi Bagpuss - great name!  I'm not that far away - Somerset - and we are hoping to get people arranging more events in various corners of the South West, including Bristol, as its too big a region to expect everyone to attend all the events all the time! (hope that makes sense!)  Hoping to get to Longleat on Friday next week, weather permitting!

Hope to meet you soon and hope you have lots of fun!
Love Mandyx

Hi
I'm mum to 2 girls 3 and 2, we live in Keynsham and we'd love to meet up with other single parents in the area.
Most of my friends are in couples and the weekends seem to drag by....

I'm moving to Bristol in a few weeks and I'll be living in Redfield/ St George area.  Me, 41, son, nearly 4 weeks, that's us!

If anyone is setting anything up I'd love to come along, and once I've actually made the move I'd really like to try and either join in or organise a baby-sitting circle for anyone who wants to go running, do exercise classes or whatever.  I lost a lot of weight just before I got pregnant, and now I want rid of it again, and one thing life has taught me is that I really have to make an effort on that front - no half measures!

On the other hand, if you just want a night out, I'm up for that too.  In fact, even more so!

 ;D

Hi bagpuss, i have a daughter who turns 6 next month, so quite close in age to your little girl... only 'snag' is I live in Exeter, not Bristol, but it's only an hour away, so would be prepared to travel as there's always lots going on in Bristol!
