Tipi Holiday
There’s nothing like waking up to birdsong and toasting marshmallows at a campfire to help you break away from the stresses and strains of 21st century living. Living close to nature, enjoying the rhythm of the day in the cosy comfort of a beautiful handcrafted tipi is guaranteed to give you a holiday to remember.
Enjoy the freedom of the fields and woods around you, chat around the campfire at dusk or discover nearby beaches and towns. This really is the stuff dreams are made of.
Set in the heart of Herefordshire within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty we are staying on a small and intimate site – with a small number of tipis and yurts each with their own private space with a group setting. The children (and adults) have 11 acres of woodland to explore and make dens in, 6 acres of which is Ancient Woodland (commonly called the Wild Wood!).
There is plenty of opportuntity to kick back and totally enjoy the space and tranquility here … with the simiple, rustic and luxurious interiors, the hammock just outside your tent, or following the many tracks and footpaths here or by the nearby River Wye. Towards dusk you can get to grips with the Earth Oven in the Bake House and cook delicious pizza or bread … then cosy up by your own campfire. Simple magical fun and a fantastically wholesome activity for all the family, send the children on an adventure to collect wood from our ancient forest (25 metres away), whilst you feed the fire and relax.
Things to do
If you can tear yourself away from the peace and tranquility of this beautiful site, Herefordshire is a county of unspoilt countryside, market towns of distinctive character and a wealth of varied landscapes from a historic City to fascinating villages. The Forest of Dean is nearby as are the Malvern Hills, or visit the lovely towns of Ross or Haye-on-Wye. Of course a Tipi holiday wouldn’t be complete without a cowboy & indian dressing up session….
