lake district camping

Sorry! This holiday is now closed for bookings.

July
is a great time to visit the Lakes to enjoy the long summer evenings
in the fresh air.
We’ve chosen a family run campsite in an
idyllic setting, with lots to see and do. Situated on the shores of
Lake Ullswater, there are lovely views. You can even take a swim in
the lake or go boating from the private beach by the Lakeside.
There are two children’s adventure
playgrounds on the site, plus endless opportunities for the children
to run around and enjoy the open air.
Enjoy an action packed
holiday or do nothing at all - the choice is yours; walk on the
fells, fish in the Lake or go Pony Trekking, or sit and watch the
world go by while the barbecue glows and the sausages sizzle...!
Onsite facilities include a licensed bar and restaurant, breakfast
and takeaway meals, beer garden,
two pool tables, table
tennis, videogames room, juke box, and weekend entertainment.
Also on site are newly refurbished toilet and shower
facilities, and a laundry room. Pets are welcome on the site, as
long as they’re kept under control (additional fees are
payable on the site).
things to do
The weekend is likely to revolve around barbecues and
outdoor games with the children, paddling in the lake or taking in
the local scenery. For those who really want to pack their weekend
full of experiences, there are several options nearby:
Theatre by The Lake and the Whinlater
outdoor centre, Lilliput Lane visitor centre, Pony Trekking,
Wetherigs country pottery, Ullswater Steamers, The Alpaca Centre,
Lakeland Bird Of prey Centre, Quad Bikes, Golf Course, Swimming
pools and climbing walls, Watersports, Dalemain and Hutton in the
Forest stately homes, Rheged Discovery centre, Homes of Football,
Tullie House Museum and Cars of the Stars.
The cost is per pitch, for 1 adult and 1 child.
Please remember to book additional children if you have them
(£6 or £7 a child, depending on whether you're a member).
A £10 deposit will be payable on arrival
as a guarantee against causing noise - this will be refunded upon
leaving the site.
If the previous response to camping trips is anything to go by, this
trip is going to be popular, so if you're at all interested,
please book your place now to avoid disappointment! |
