refund & cancellation policy
For any holiday that you
wish to cancel, please write to us at orders@singlewithkids.co.uk.
If we do not receive a cancellation email, then we will assume that
you want us to reserve places for your holiday.
IF
YOU CANCEL A UK HOLIDAY
Providing you give us MORE THAN 56 DAYS NOTICE BEFORE the date
of the holiday, you have the
option, at our discretion, of transferring your booking to another
holiday, providing that the start date of the desired holiday is
within 3 (THREE) months of that which was cancelled AND there are
places available on the desired holiday. If either of these
conditions cannot be satisfied, then a transfer cannot be
entertained.
If a transfer is possible, we will arrange and
honour this. All booking transfers are subject to a £15
Amendment Fee per place (plus *Payment Processing Fees if
applicable). If transferring to another holiday and this is also
subsequently cancelled, we will retain the original deposit as
compensation for our loss.
If you are cancelling a camping trip, and have
paid the full balance, we will refund 50% on the condition that you
have given us more than 56 days notice.
If you cancel
BETWEEN 28 DAYS AND 56 DAYS BEFORE the date of your holiday, you will
lose all deposit monies paid. We will levy a
Cancellation Fee equivalent to half of your outstanding balance(s),
plus the *Payment Processing Fee(s)
that we paid to our credit/debit card merchant..
If you wish to
cancel WITHIN 28 DAYS of your holiday date, you will lose all
deposit monies paid. We will levy a Cancellation Fee
equivalent to the whole outstanding balance(s), plus the
*Payment Processing Fee(s) that we paid to our credit/debit card
merchant..
* Payment Processing Fees will not be charged if
the cancellation or amended booking is within 60 days of the date
the original booking was taken.
Cancellation Fees are based upon the
costs incumbent upon us to resell your place(s) and our risk of loss
at the time of your cancellation. Amendment fees are based
upon the costs of our time to administrate a change to your booking.
IF YOU CANCEL A
FOREIGN HOLIDAY
If you cancel a foreign holiday, irrespective of when you notify us
of cancellation, we will retain your whole deposit.
If you wish to cancel your booking, you
must write to us at orders@singlewithkids.co.uk. We will levy a cancellation charge on the scale
shown in the table below. These charges are based on the estimated
cost of cancelling your holiday and the expenses and losses we are
likely to incur if we cannot resell the holiday or villa.

*“Holiday balance” does not include
insurance premiums or other costs, which will be non-refundable in
the event of your cancellation.
If the reason for your cancellation falls
within and holiday insurance cover you have taken, you should be able to claim a
refund of your cancellation charges from the insurance company less
any applicable excess.
IF YOU DON'T TURN
UP FOR AN EVENT
If you simply do
not turn up for an event without contacting us, you will
automatically forfeit any money paid, and will also be liable for
any outstanding balances.
PAYMENT OF REFUNDS
Any refund due, will be paid within 28
days of informing us of your intention to cancel.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR
BOOKING (UK and Foreign Bookings)
Should you wish to change your holiday arrangements in any way we
will do our best to meet your wishes. We will
charge an Amendment Fee for any such change of £15 PER PERSON.
Any change you
make within 8 weeks of the holiday will be treated as a cancellation
by you and we will levy a Cancellation Fee as
set out above (See applicable clauses above: "IF YOU
CANCEL A UK HOLIDAY" or "IF YOU CANCEL A FOREIGN HOLIDAY").
If the balance has been paid for the
original holiday you wish to rearrange, you may transfer the balance
to another holiday at our discretion AND providing the chosen
holiday still has sufficient places available. A balance may
only be transferred to an alternative holiday that is within 3
months of the start date of the original holiday. The balance
can only be transferred to another holiday once.
IF WE
CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY
In exceptional
circumstances it may be necessary, at Single With Kids discretion,
to cancel your holiday. If this
situation arises you will be offered an alternative holiday of
comparable standard (if available).
Where this is not possible, a full
refund will be made of all monies paid. Single With
Kids will endeavour
not
to cancel your holiday
except for
unexpected circumstances outside our control, or where you have
failed to make full payment. Circumstances outside of our control
include but are not limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil
strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear
threat/disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions. If
cancellation or curtailment of your holiday occurs as a result of
circumstances beyond our control, and the consequences of which could
not have been avoided or foreseen, even with all due care, Single
With Kids will not pay any compensation, nor be responsible for any
costs or expenses incurred by you as a result.
CANCELLING
PRE-TICKETED EVENTS
For any pre-ticketed
events, including, but not limited to concert trips and theme parks,
where we are committed to ticket purchase(s), no refund will be
given unless you, or we, can resell the ticket(s).
If we manage to re-sell your tickets, we will refund you, minus a
nominal charge of £5 for each ticket that is cancelled (in
recognition of the effort we expend to find a replacement buyer).
We will also charge you the Payment
Processing Fee that we paid to our credit/debit card merchant.
REFUND OF EASYPAY HOLIDAY VOUCHERS
The purchase of SWK EasyPay Holiday Vouchers is
non-refundable. Any vouchers purchased in payment against a
particular holiday will be considered a balance payment for that
holiday and will fall under the terms and conditions for cancelling
a holiday.
